" I don't know You But I Will Frame You" 2025
“I Don’t Know You but I Will Frame You” grew from my daily use of a backdrop stand in the classroom, teaching students about light and composition. Over time, I saw it as more than a tool; it became my self-portrait. From the beginning, Al-Khor and Doha’s suburban landscapes felt familiar, echoing where I grew up. I could not truly claim them, but I could frame them. I began carrying the stand without fabric, framing sections of these places so I could hold onto them, never forget them, and never lose them. The project merges photography and performance, transforming the frame into a gesture of memory, belonging, and quiet possession.
