Picture
Manipulated Sceneries is a video screening program guest curated by Nebras Hovezavi for the 8th edition of The Limited Access Festival for moving images, sound and performance. The program featured video and sound works by artists: Artur Silva, Elena Lavellés, Harry Gamboa Jr, Heather M.O’Brien & Jonathan Takahashi, Malte Starck, Sichong Xie, Tasha Bjelic in addition to publication featuring email conversations between Nebras Hoveizavi and Juliana Lujan. The program puts together various positions, observations and responses toward landscape and how we manipulate them for our own interest, the examples gathered are going in many directions from fiction to poesy and from esthetics to activism.
