BORDER RUN
|
Single Channel
Original Running Time: 25 minutes |
Border Run is built from fragments: WhatsApp voice notes, blurred documentary traces, and staged gestures. Paper carpets held in my hands. A mask that hides and reveals. A monster that lingers from a storybook. Each action holds the residue of survival, each fragment another way of crossing.
The film grows out of personal experience yet reaches toward wider conflicts that shape our present. A daily attempt to live quietly becomes a reflection on the borders that divide, control, and shape the fragile space of existence. Performance becomes a language of questioning. To be a fish. To become paper figures who wear fragile masks. To carry identities that can dissolve as easily as they are made. These gestures ask: must we always become someone else to pass? There is no single story. The film asks the viewer to assemble one from voices, silences, and fragments of the everyday. In the space between what is shown and what is hidden, Border Run reflects on displacement, legality, and the fragile right to exist. |
